The newly opened 5-star Cairn Lodge and Hotel in Auchterarder was honoured at the Scottish Hotel Awards on Sunday evening, scooping a number of prestigious accolades.

At the awards ceremony, which took place at the Thistle Hotel in Glasgow on Sunday 20^th May, the Lang Toon landmark beat off stiff competition to collect awards as ‘Scotland’s Sexiest Hotel’, ‘The Scottish Hotel Design Award’ and ‘Rising Star Luxury Hotel’.

The Cairn, which opened last month following a multi-million pound makeover, is part of the luxury Aurora Hotel Collection and the vision of award-winning hotelier, Steven McLeod who oversaw the dramatic and daring re-invention of the Victorian hunting lodge into an indulgent 10-bedroom boutique hotel, with separate 5-bedroom luxury lodge house.

In addition to the haul of awards for the Cairn, the Aurora Hotel Collection was picked up a further four awards including recognition for Founder & Chief Executive, Steven McLeod, who was honoured as ‘Scottish Hotelier of the Year’.
